Information we collect

Every field we ask for, and what we use it for.

We collect only what we need to fill out the forms in your selected package. Nothing more, nothing for advertising.

  • Contact information: your name, email address, phone number, mailing address.
  • Identifying information: your date of birth, your Florida residency duration. Your Social Security Number is collected by phone during the operator review call (required by Florida statute on the Notice of Social Security Number form) and added to your packet at that time.
  • Financial information: your gross monthly income and total monthly expenses, used to complete the Family Law Financial Affidavit.
  • Information about your spouse or other party: their name, address, date of birth, military status — required by the petition.
  • Marriage information: dates of marriage and separation.
  • Payment information: processed by Stripe; we never see your card number.
  • Compliance receipts: your IP address, user agent, and timestamps for when you accepted the nonlawyer disclosure.

Why so much detail?

Florida family-law forms ask for all of this. We capture it once during intake instead of asking you to retype it on every form yourself.
How we use it1 min read02 / 8

How we use it

Strictly limited to preparing your packet and supporting your case.

  • To type your answers onto the official Florida Supreme Court Approved Family Law Forms.
  • To call you by phone to confirm your details before delivering your packet — required by Florida nonlawyer rules.
  • To email you the completed packet.
  • To send you a magic-link sign-in if you need to return to your case.
  • To send you a notice before we delete your case under our retention policy (see below).

What we never do

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with anyone except the third parties that operate our service (Stripe for payments, Resend for email, Supabase for the database, Anthropic for the intake conversation, Vercel for hosting).

How we protect it

Encryption in transit, encryption at rest, short-lived sign-in links.

  • All traffic between your browser and our service is encrypted with TLS.
  • Sensitive customer data we hold (financial figures, identifying information) is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM.
  • Sign-in links sent to your email are cryptographically signed, expire after 7 days, and become invalid the first time they are used. Once you sign in, your browser session lasts 30 days before you need a fresh link.
  • Operator access to the admin dashboard requires a fresh email-delivered sign-in link (valid for 15 minutes), and operator sessions automatically expire after 8 hours of inactivity.
  • The operator dashboard lives on a separate subdomain (admin.atriumfiling.com) with its own session cookie and an additional bot-challenge layer at the edge.

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We make reasonable efforts but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Retention1 min read04 / 8

How long we keep it

30 days after delivery, then permanently deleted.

We permanently delete completed cases 30 days after we send you your packet. Seven days before deletion, we email you a reminder so you can save copies. After deletion we no longer have a copy of your packet or your answers, and we cannot recover them.

Save your packet

The 7-day reminder is your last chance to download a copy. After that, we can’t help you recover it — that’s by design, for your privacy.
